New Delhi 17 February 2023: Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla has extended greetings to the people on the eve of Maha Shivratri. In his message Shri Birla said:

''Heartfelt greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri. Lord Shiva is the God of inception and eternity. He is the God of creation and destruction. Lord Shiva is an integral part of our religious and cultural tradition. Shiv ji has always ended sorrows and troubles of people. Lord Neelkanth saved the world by drinking the poison that emerged from the Sagar Manthan. Even today in times of crisis, we meditate on Lord Shiva and worship him and Shiva solves our problems.

May everyone receive the divine blessings of Lord Bholenath on Maha Shivratri. May everyone be healthy, prosperous and joyful. With this wish, I extend best wishes for Mahashivratri.
