LOK SABHA SPEAKER ADDRESSES 'CHILDREN'S SESSION' IN RAJASTHAN LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY ORGANIZED ON THE OCCASION OF CHILDREN'S DAY

Jaipur, 14 November 2021: Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla addressed the 'Bal Session' (Children’s Session) organized in Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, on the occasion of Children's Day, today. The Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Kalraj Mishra ;  Chief Minister, Shri Ashok Gehlot and other dignitaries attended the Session.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Birla said sitting in the temple of democracy, it is our responsibility to focus on how our democracy can become more powerful and stronger through the democratic institutions of the country, and how to meet the expectations and aspirations of the people in a better way. There is a need to have a comprehensive discussion and dialogue on this and how to strengthen democracy in the country, said Shri Birla. Regarding the responsibilities of the people's representatives, Shri Birla highlighted that there can be agreement and disagreement on the issues discussed on the floor of the House, but there should be no disruption.

 

Speaking about New India, Shri Birla said that the youth of India are leading not only in India but all over the world on the strength of their talent and intelligence in technology and innovation. He further said that the youth of India is making a big contribution in making the country a more developed and capable nation in the world.

 

On the call of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, speaking about the widespread campaign to know about the Constitution across the country, Shri Birla said that through this campaign, students, children and youth are encouraged to understand our Constitution. On this context, Shri Birla informed that the country will be celebrating Constitution Day on 26th November. Shri Birla further said that the Constitution of India gives expression to the collective hopes, aspirations and expectations of the country, and guides the welfare of the people. He emphasised that the countrymen have to take forward the country on the path of progress and development through their duties and responsibilities.

 

Lok Sabha Speaker urged the children and the youth of India for their active participation in the democratic processes to make democratic institutions more effective and stronger.
