PARLIAMENTARIANS PAY FLORAL TRIBUTES TO CHAUDHARY CHARAN SINGH New Delhi, 23 December 2017: Lok Sabha Speaker Smt. Sumitra Mahajan; Union Minister for Steel Chaudhary Birender Singh; Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs & Statistics and Programme Implementation Shri Vijay Goel and former Deputy Prime Minister and Chairperson of the Ethics Committee (Lok Sabha) Shri L.K. Advani paid floral tributes at the portrait of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh in the Central Hall of Parliament House on his Birth Anniversary, today. Among other dignitaries who paid floral tributes to Chaudhary Charan Singh were several Members of Parliament; and former Members of Parliament. The Secretary-General of Lok Sabha Smt. Snehlata Shrivastava also paid floral tributes. A booklet containing the profile of Chaudhary Charan Singh, brought out in Hindi and English by the Lok Sabha Secretariat, was presented to the dignitaries who attended the function. The portrait of Chaudhary Charan Singh was unveiled by the then President of India, Dr. Shanker Dayal Sharma, in the Central Hall of Parliament House on 23 December 1993.
