Aligarh, 07 February, 2021: Lok Sabha Speaker, Shri Om Birla addressed the National Convention of All India Vaishya Ekta Parishad today in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.
Speaking on this occasion, Shri Birla thanked the Members of the Parishad for their service towards the society and the nation. He said that the Vaishya community has contributed immensely in nation building and also made a tremendous contribution towards social –development. Their efforts, towards enterprise and employment generation are well known all over the world.
Shri Birla said that the Vaishya community played a significant role in the struggle for freedom. He further said that people will have to come together and cooperate in the building of “New India”. Shri Birla said that the Vaishya community has laid the foundation of self reliant India through trade and commerce.
Enumerating the values of Vaishya community, Shri Birla said that “Our forefathers always worked with the spirit of service, renunciation and devotion and we too have inherited the same values.’’
Emphasizing the pioneering role played by the Vaishya community in the field of education and the welfare of the society, Shri Birla said that they have constructed temples of education, dharmashalas, and hospitals in villages.
Shri Birla further said that in the time of pandemic, the country has faced all challenges unitedly and resolutely for all the world to see. He added that Vaishya community has played a key role in these challenging times. Shri Birla also said that it has clearly been proven that the whole country is united and would collectively tackle each challenge.
Underlining the patriotism of Vaishya community, Shri Birla said that the community has worked towards uniting the country. He further said that our diversity brings us together instead of dividing us. Shri Birla also said that causing discord among various castes is tantamount to dividing the country.
