New Delhi 20 June 2020: Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla today addressed the faculty and the students at the 25th Convocation Ceremony of IFIM Business School via videoconference from his residence in New Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Birla said the Indian youth is leading the world in Information Technology and other important fields. He observed that the capacity of the youth for innovation should be increased through help and support to Institutions such as IFIM Business School. Underlining the importance of technology, Shri Birla mentioned that efforts are being made to increase the use of Information Technology in various aspects of parliamentary work.
Shri Birla congratulated the students and said that their hard work, perseverance, focus and discipline have led them to success. He hoped that the skills acquired during the studies would help them to integrate purposively in development and progress of the country. He advised them to inculcate the sense of belongingness and patriotism in their work, be it at home or workplace.
Shri Birla observed that the digital revolution has led to the emergence of a brand new era of innovation and leadership for India. He added that the patriotic Indian youth has a major role to play in the socio-economic policy formation for the nation. He said that, “India can emerge as a leader in diverse sectors like IT, Electronics, Pharmaceuticals, and e-commerce, with the capability and efforts of Indian youth.” Shri Birla felt that Indian youth should work diligently towards for strengthening the rural economy as the resilience of the national economy is based on its strength.
At the end, Shri Birla again congratulated the students and the Institution for their 25th Convocation Ceremony and wished them all the Best.
Earlier, Shri Birla was welcomed by Shri Sanjay Padode and Mrs. Kalpana Padode, Chairman, Board of Directors of IFIM Business School. After lighting of lamp, Shri Atish Chattopadhyay, Director, IFIM Business School delivered his address and presented the Institution’s Annual Report.
