PARLIAMENTARIANS PAY FLORAL TRIBUTES TO PANDIT MOTILAL NEHRU
New Delhi, 6 May 2017: Lok Sabha Speaker Smt. Sumitra Mahajan; Leader of Opposition (Rajya Sabha) Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad and former Deputy Prime Minister & Chairperson, Ethics Committee (Lok Sabha) Shri L. K. Advani paid floral tributes to Pandit Motilal Nehru at his portrait in the Central Hall of Parliament House on his birth anniversary, today. Among others who paid floral tributes to Pandit Motilal Nehru were several Members of Parliament, former Members of Parliament and Secretary-General of Lok Sabha Shri Anoop Mishra. A booklet containing the profile of Pandit Motilal Nehru, brought out by the Lok Sabha Secretariat, was presented to the dignitaries who attended the function. The portrait of Pandit Motilal Nehru was unveiled by the then President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, in the Central Hall of Parliament House on 30 March 1957.
